The only way I ever get really motivated to practice is when I listen to 2CELLOS or The piano guys or some random guy who’s amazing at violin on youtube.
Then I want to practice a lot and for forever but then I realize it’s 2 in the morning.
One day I’ll play in Carnegie hall or Julliard or somewhere fantasticly huge and big and fancy with chandeliers and fancy doors and pretty carpets and old-fashioned buildings and I’ll finally get a sense of what it was like back then and how pretty everything is and finally be able to play my violin/viola somewhere it is duly appreciated and have a standing ovation and it’s going to be amazing ONE DAY, ONE DAY.
For now, I’ll have to make do with pit, montco orch, pmea, other orchestras, and districts. It’s the best that I can do.
